Nintendo GameCube Clear Translucent/Transparent Shell Console with Region Switch & White LED This listing is for Nintendo GameCube console that with clear shell and has region flip switch & White power LED. This console is originally a Japanese console and we added the region flip switch so that you can change region between NTSC-U/C (North America) and NTSC-J (Japan). For changing the region, just flip the flip switch up or down. Up position is NTSC-J and down position is NTSC-U/C. You can simply turn on the console with lid open (or without inserting a disc) and see the language of the console menu as well. Memory Card need to be region specific and you will need two cards (one for US games and one for Japanese games) if you are planning to play in both region. Memory card itself is region free but it needs to be formatted to the exact region. If the region is different, then it will prompt to format to the right region when you go to the memory card screen on the console menu. The data will be erased by formatting so please be careful!! The top jewel / name plate has a protective clear plastic film that you can peel off. Backup battery was replaced with replaceable battery holder with a new battery so that you can open the console and replace the battery without soldering skill in the future. We have replaced a capacitor(s) that is(are) related to the drive unit and also adjusted the laser strength to the optimal setting. You can simply choose “Bundle Type” from the dropdown menu and see photos of the exact item you are purchasing. There are four different colors to pick, Clear White, Clear Black, Clear Purple, and Clear Yellow. If you would like to purchase AC & AV cable with the console, please purchase “AC and AV Cords” with the console. AC will be OEM Nintendo from Japan. It is perfectly fine to use it in US outlet. AV will the 3rd Party made. Due to limited amount of supplies, AC adapter and other accessories can be purchased only with the console. We have HDMI adapter for the use on a modern flat screen TV. If you wish to purchase one with the console, please look at very bottom of the “Bundle Type”. We have two kinds and both are plug and play and doesn’t require an additional power cable. One is High Definition Line Doubler HDMI Adapter that goes to a digital port (This only supports DOL-001 model. Not compatible with DOL-101 model without a digital AV port). This one is GameCube specific adapter. This comes with a HDMI line doubler adapter, remote control, HDMI cable, user manual, and box. The other one is “HDMI Adapter” that goes into AV port of the console and it supports AV and S-Video signals. You can use this one for any GameCube models. You can use this adapter for AV Famicom/NES, Super Famicom/Super Nintendo as well as Nintendo 64 console. This comes with a HDMI adapter, HDMI cable, user manual, and box. We test AV port with Composite AV Cable ad Digital AV Cable. Now we have a set up for testing Digital AV and we are making sure Digital AV out is working. We carefully test the console again right before we ship out. Also, we use good amount of bubble wraps to protect the console and then put it in the cardboard box to ship it. Even though we try our best to ship the item protected but there is always a possibility that console can get damaged during the transit. If it doesn’t work upon arrival, please let us know.
